Glitter is everything a stallion should be - noble, beautiful, well-conformed, gentle yet bold, and a true athlete. His color is striking, but his personality is what makes him really special. He's an active learner, he loves to jump, and he's just as pleased when he learns a new dressage movement as his rider. He's a very personable young stallion, who is a favorite for our exercise riders. Glitter earned his REAA disctinction in 2007, proving his legacy as one of the top horses in Riata. After earning many Championships at the lower levels, Glitter made his debut at the Four Star level this year. His foals are showing his mark of greatness and are cleaning up in the show ring. Glitter produces good-minded horses with excellent feet and legs who are suitable for all sport horse disciplines.

The Genetics of Breeding to All That Glitters
All That Glitters is a cremello, which means he is a double-dilute and homozygous for palomino. His foals will always have a dilute gene, no matter what mare he is bred to. The color of the mare determines the color of gold that he will produce. He will not reproduce his pink skin and blue eyes in any foal whose mother doesn't already carry a dilute gene. Here's the color breakdown:
Chestnut will always produce a palomino foal.
Bay will most likely produce a palomino or buckskin, but a few mares will produce smokey black foals.
Black can produce palomino, buckskin, or smokey black.
Grays may get a palomino, buckskin, or smokey black foal, but the foals will shed out gray on 50% of foals out of heterozygous mares.
Homozygous grays will always have a gray foal. The foal will still have the dilute gene and can produce dilute colors.
Palominos have a 50% chance of producing either palomino or cremello.
Buckskin can produce buckskin, palomino, smokey cream, smokey black, perlino, or cremello.
Smokey black can produce buckskin, palomino, smokey cream, smokey black, perlino, or cremello.
Cremellos will always produce cremellos.
Perlinos can produce perlino, cremello, or smokey cream.
Smokey creams will always produce smokey creams.
